(Wednesday, March 13, 1901, 4:45 p.m. local time) — Benjamin Harrison, the 23rd president of the United States (1889–1983), died from pneumonia today at his home in Indianapolis at the age of 67.
Harrison was a grandson of the ninth president, William Henry Harrison, and a great-grandson of Benjamin Harrison V, a founding father who signed the United States Declaration of Independence.
