Video: 'John Lennon Imagine Live (Acoustic Guitar)'

(Friday, December 17, 1971, evening EST) — Former Beatle John Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono, performed tonight at the Apollo Theater in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City in the borough of Manhattan, at a concert benefit for the families of the victims of the recent riot at New York’s Attica State Prison.

During the show, which was captured on 16mm film, Lennon performed acoustic versions of both “Imagine” and “Attica State” while Yoko sings “Sisters O Sisters.”
