(Monday, March 20, 1972) — Former Beatle Ringo Starr filmed a comedy sketch scene today at Dehnam Aerodrome, an operational general aviation aerodrome located east of Gerrards Cross, near Denham, Buckinghamshire, England, with glam rock musician Marc Bolan for his movie Born To Boogie.

Also this month, Starr dropped into sessions for Harry Nilsson’s Son of Schmilsson album at Trident Studios in London. The sessions were being filmed for a proposed documentary called Did Somebody Drop Their Mouse? Ringo is briefly seen wandering around the studio and playing drums.

Also in March 1972, Starr shot a promotional video for his new single “Back Off Boogaloo” at fellow ex-Beatle John Lennon’s Tittenhurst Park residence while Starr was looking after the property near Ascot in the English county of Berkshire.

The clip shows Starr walking around an outdoor structure followed by a Frankenstein-like monster; it was directed by Tom Taylor and financed by Caravel Films. A similar-looking monster appeared on the single’s picture sleeve, holding a cigarette.
