(Wednesday, September 20, 1972) — Former Beatle Paul McCartney and his British–American rock band, Wings, today recorded “Hi Hi Hi” at EMI Studios, Abbey Road in London, during sessions for the studio album Red Rose Speedway.

The track would be mixed on Nov. 6, 1972, at EMI Studios and then released on Dec. 1, 1972, in the UK (Dec. 4, 1972, in the U.S.) as the A-side of a stand-alone double-A side single with “C Moon.”

The song was included on the 2001 Paul McCartney compilation album Wingspan: Hits and History and as a bonus track on the 1993 and 2018 reissues of Red Rose Speedway.
