(Monday, July 2, 1973) — The soundtrack to the eighth James Bond film Live and Let Die, featuring the main title song by ex-Beatle Paul McCartney and his British-American band Wings (featuring Linda McCartney, Denny Laine, Henry McCullough and Denny Seiwell) and music scored by former Beatles producer George Martin, was released today in the United States (July 6, 1973, in Britain, one day after the film’s official world premiere in London).
