Video: 'Oh My My'

(Saturday, March 9, 1974) — “Oh My My” by former Beatle Ringo Starr debuted at #65 on today’s Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, the highest debut on today’s chart and the third and final single from his first solo rock music album Ringo.

It was the ex-Beatle’s fifth of seven top ten hits on the chart (1971-1975).

The recording was produced by Richard Perry and includes backing vocals by Merry Clayton and Martha Reeves.

“Oh My My” was co-written by Starr (credited by his real name, “Richard Starkey”) and Vini Poncia, a recurrent collaborator of Starr’s during the 1970s.

Billy Preston plays keyboards on the track.

Both Starr and Jim Keltner play drums, while Klaus Voormann plays bass. Tom Scott plays the saxophone solo.
