(Friday, June 5, 1964, 8:00 p.m. Central European Time) — The Beatles recorded an appearance tonight at Café-Restaurant Treslong in Hillegom, The Netherlands, for airing on June 8, 1964, at 8:30 p.m. on VARA-TV.

In the first part of the program, they answered questions from the 150-strong audience, seated at the bar.

For the second part they mimed to the studio versions of six songs.

As their microphones were left on, the group occasionally sang along to the tracks.

After their appearance in Hillegom, The Beatles visited De Wallen, Amsterdam’s infamous red-light district.

The Beatles stayed the night in Amsterdam’s Doelen Hotel, on Nieuwe Doelenstraat 24.
