(Sunday, July 12, 1964) — The Beatles were filmed today appearing at the stage door of the Hippodrome Theatre in Brighton, England, at the beginning of the band’s 1964 summer seaside resort tour, part of the European leg of their world tour.

On the way to the venue, George Harrison was involved in a minor road accident while driving his new E-Type Jaguar car on the New Kings Road in Fulham, London.

Passing pedestrians collected bits of broken glass as souvenirs.
