(Tuesday, August 18, 1964, 2:05 p.m. CST; during The Beatles’ 1964 North American tour) — The Beatles, flying from London to San Francisco via Los Angeles for their first full tour of the U.S., arrived at Winnipeg International Airport in Manitoba, Canada, this afternoon for refueling and a brief wave to some 2,000 waiting fans.
