(Friday, August 21, 1964, 3:25 p.m. PDT; during The Beatles’ 1964 North American tour) — The Beatles arrived this afternoon at Seattle-Tacoma Airport, where band member Ringo Starr was interviewed by Larry Kane on the third stop of their 32-show, 25-city North American tour.

Ringo says he didn’t sleep during the flight, despite only two hours’ sleep the night before. Instead he listened to records that one of the opening acts, the Exciters, had brought.
