(Thursday. August 22, 1974, during sessions for Walls and Bridges) — Sessions for John Lennon’s fifth studio album, Walls and Bridges, continued today at Record Plant East at 321 West 44th Street in New York City as strings (by The Philharmonic Orchestrange – arranged and conducted by Ken Ascher) were added to at least five tracks.

The five tracks included: “Old Dirt Road,” “Scared,” “No. 9 Dream,” “Steel and Glass,” and “Nobody Loves You When You’re Down and Out.”

Recording for at least two of the tracks, “Scared” and “No. 9 Dream” would not be completed for another week or so.
