(Tuesday, September 17, 1974, 3:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m. PDT) — Horn overdubs for Ringo Starr’s “Snookeroo,” written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin, were recorded tonight at Sunset Sound in the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, for the former Beatle’s second rock solo studio album, Goodnight Vienna.

Elton himself counting down the tune, and adding his unmistakable piano and backing vocals to the track.

Goodnight Vienna would be released Nov. 15, 1974, in the UK (Nov. 18, 1974, in the U.S.).
