(Wednesday, September 25, 1974) — Former Beatle John Lennon continued his promotional tour for his fifth solo studio album, Walls and Bridges (which would be released tomorrow, Sept. 26, 1974, first in the U.S.), recording an interview with Paul Drew of the RKO Radio Network.

“Sometimes words come out on their own, and then I look at them later or after I’ve recorded and say, oh, that’s what I was talking about,” Lennon said, discussing his new album. “I sometimes don’t know what I’m saying myself.”
