(Saturday, November 30, 1974) — Goodnight Vienna, ex-Beatle Ringo Starr’s second solo rock studio album, debuted at #70 on today’s Billboard 200 albums chart.

Goodnight Vienna was recorded in the summer of 1974 in Los Angeles, following the commercially successful predecessor Ringo, and Starr used many of the same players, including Billy Preston, Klaus Voormann, Robbie Robertson, Harry Nilsson, and producer Richard Perry.

Of his three fellow ex-Beatles, only John Lennon performed on the album (two tracks, including the title track, “Goodnight Vienna,” which is a slang phrase meaning “it’s all over”).
