(Saturday, December 14, 1974) — For the first time since The Beatles broke up in 1970, each member had a hit record on today’s Billboard ‘s top 40 pop chart: “Junior’s Farm” by Paul McCartney and Wings at #10 (it would peak at #3 on Jan. 11, 1975), “Only You” by Ringo Starr at #18 (it would peak at #6 on Jan. 11, 1975), “Dark Horse” by George Harrison at #32 (it would peak at #15 on Jan. 11, 1975) and “Whatever Gets You Thru The Night” by John Lennon at #40 (it had peaked at #1 on Nov. 16, 1974).

They would repeat this feat on Jan. 11 and 18, 1975 (same four songs except with Lennon’s “No. 9 Dream” replacing his “Whatever Gets You Thru The Night”).
