(Tuesday, December 15, 1964)Beatles ’65, The Beatles’ seventh American album, was released in the U.S. today.

Released as the North American alternative to Beatles for Sale, it was the band’s fifth studio album culled by Capitol Records in the U.S. from the Beatles’ EMI releases.

Beatles ’65 includes eight of the fourteen songs from Beatles for Sale (omitting “Eight Days a Week”, “Words of Love”, “Every Little Thing”, “I Don’t Want to Spoil the Party”, “What You’re Doing”, and the “Kansas City/Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey” medley, all of which were issued on Beatles VI).
