(Wednesday, February 26, 1975) — After six weeks of recording in New Orleans, Paul McCartney and Wings moved sessions for their upcoming studio album to Wally Heider Recording Studio 3 in Los Angeles.
Work continued today with the completion of the title track, “Venus and Mars,” with McCartney adding lead vocals and a harmonized second track, starting with the line, “Red lights, green lights, strawberry wine.”
The song would later serve as the opening track for the album Venus and Mars, released May 30, 1975.
