James Bond feature film ‘A View to a Kill’ premieres in San Francisco 40 years ago this hour (May 22 1985)

(Wednesday, May 22, 1985, scheduled for 7:15 p.m. PDT) — James Bond is pitted against Max Zorin, who plans to destroy California’s Silicon Valley, in A View to a Kill, which premiered today in San Francisco at the Palace of Fine Arts.

The fourteenth spy film in the series and the seventh and last to star Roger Moore as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond was directed by John Glen.
