(Thursday, June 24, 1965, 4:30 p.m. CET) — The Beatles performed the fifth show of their 1965 European Tour this afternoon at Velodromo Vigorelli in Milan, their first show ever on Italian soil.

This show attracted just 7,000 spectators at the 22,000-seat open-air arena. They would perform again at the venue at 9:30 p.m. CET.

The band’s three-nation, eight-city, 15-show tour would continue through July 3, 1965.
