(Wednesday, June 30, 1965, 9:00 p.m. CET) — The Beatles performed their only concert in Nice, France, tonight, drawing a packed crowd to the Palais des Expositions as part of their 1965 European tour.

The show began at 9 p.m. at the exhibition hall on the Esplanade Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny. The band, greeted by enthusiastic fans, played a 12-song set that included hits such as “She’s a Woman,” “Can’t Buy Me Love,” and “A Hard Day’s Night.”

The group arrived in Nice the day before and stayed two nights at the Hotel Négresco, where they were photographed relaxing on the balcony of the Imperial Suite.

Following the concert, the Beatles and their entourage visited the La Fiesta nightclub, where they unwound by racing go-karts on the club’s private track.

The performance marked the band’s final stop in France before continuing their tour in Madrid, Spain on July 1.
