(Wednesday, September 22, 1965) — The Beatles’ drummer Ringo Starr and his wife, Maureen, were filmed today leaving Queen Charlotte’s Maternity Hospital in London with their nine-day-old son Zak, accompanied by nanny Marion Bramwell, en route to the Starkey’s home at 34 Montagu Square.

Meantime, also around this time (ca. September 1965), fellow Beatle Paul McCartney recorded demos for the band’s upcoming recording sessions, two of which have survived: “We Can Work It Out” and “Michelle.”
