(Sunday, November 14, 1976, 11:30 a.m. EST)Network, an American satirical black comedy-drama film about television programmers who turn a deranged news anchor into “the mad prophet of the airwaves,” opened today at the Sutton Theater in New York City.

Directed by Sidney Lumet, the film starred Faye Dunaway, William Holden, Peter Finch and Robert Duvall.
