(Saturday, October 24, 1992) — The Toronto Blue Jays won the 1992 World Series today, beating the Atlanta Braves 2-1 in eleven innings at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, in the sixth and deciding game.

It was the Blue Jay’s first World Series title, and the first time a team based outside the United States won the World Series.
