(Monday, March 6, 1967) — In what is believed to be the earliest television appearance by The Doors to survive, the band mimed to their first single “Break On Through (To the Other Side)” today at KTLA-TV studios for the show She-Bang, a local Los Angeles teen music show similar in format to American Bandstand and Hullabaloo and hosted by Casey Kasem.
