(Independence Day, Sunday, July 4, 1971) — Former Beatle John Lennon completed five tracks for Imagine, his second studio album, today at Record Plant East at 321 W. 44th Street in New York City, overdubbing strings (performed by The Flux Fiddlers, members of the New York Philharmonic) to “How Do You Sleep?,” “Imagine,” “How?” and “Jealous Guy,” and an additional bass part (performed by Klaus Voormann) on “Gimme Some Truth.”
