(Wednesday, September 24, 2003)Concert for George, a documentary film about the Concert for George, a tribute concert for George Harrison held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Nov. 29, 2002, the first anniversary of Harrison’s death, premiered tonight at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California.

Directed by David Leland, the film featured performances by various rock stars and musicians including Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Eric Clapton.

(Friday, May 23, 2003) — Paul McCartney today opened a modern sound recording studio for musically gifted children in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Children from St. Petersburg boarding school No. 38 participated in the studio opening, which is located in the former stables of the Menshikov palace on Vasilyevsky Island. They sang songs by the former member of the legendary group Beatles.

The studio was opened with support from the charity fund The Menshikov Foundation.

According to the fund’s director Enti Ino, the fund was created to support musically gifted children, and the modern sound studio will become a stage for the exercises of these children.
