(Saturday, January 11, 1969, 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. PDT) — The Monkees completed “A Man Without a Dream” today at Western Recorders in Hollywood, wrapping up the recording sessions for Instant Replay, the band’s seventh studio album and the first album released after Peter Tork left the group.

The album would be released Feb. 15, 1969, one week after the first single from the LP, “Tear Drop City”/”A Man Without a Dream” was released.
