All four Beatles in top 40 pop chart for first time since band’s 1970 break up 40 years ago today (Dec 14 1974)

(Saturday, December 14, 1974) — For the first time since The Beatles broke up in 1970, each member had a record on today’s Billboard ‘s top 40 pop chart: “Junior’s Farm” by Paul McCartney and Wings at #10, “Only You” by Ringo Starr at #18, “Dark Horse” by George Harrison at #32 and “Whatever Gets You Thru The Night” by John Lennon at #40. They would repeat this feat on Jan. 11 and 18, 1975 (same four songs except with Lennon’s “No. 9 Dream” replacing his “Whatever Gets You Thru The Night”).
