(Thursday, March 5, 1936, 8:00-10:12 p.m. PST) — Mutiny on the Bounty, a drama film about the sadistic Captain Bligh, who drove his men to revolt during a South Seas expedition, won Outstanding Production tonight at the 8th Academy Awards.

In addition, John Ford won Best Director and Victor McLaglen won Best Actor for The Informer; and Bette Davis won Best Actress for Dangerous.
