Video: 'Slap Shot' trailer

(Friday, February 25, 1977, 10:00 a.m. EST) — Slap Shot, an American sports comedy film about a failing hockey team that bounces back when they switch to a more violent approach, opened today in U.S. theaters including the National theater in Midtown Manhattan.

Directed by George Roy Hill, the film starred Paul Newman, Strother Martin, Michael Ontkean and Jennifer Warren.
