(Tuesday, March 26, 1968) — Paul McCartney of The Beatles arrived at London Airport today, having spent five weeks studying Transcendental Meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi at the Academy of Transcendental Meditation in Rishikesh, India.

At the airport, McCartney and his fiancée, Jane Asher, consented to an interview for the BBC.

McCartney followed bandmate Ringo Starr, who departed Rishikesh Mar. 1, 1968, leaving behind John Lennon and George Harrison, who would remain in India through Apr. 12, 1968, some two weeks before the TM course was scheduled to be completed.
