(Thursday, April 4, 1968, 10:15 a.m. EST) — The Party, an American comedy film about an Indian actor who turns a swank Hollywood party into a disaster, opened this morning at Trans Lux West Theater in New York City.

Produced and directed by Blake Edwards, the film starred Peter Sellers and Claudine Longet.
