(Monday, May 18, 1998)The Impostors, an American farce motion picture about two out-of-work actors who accidentally stowaway on a ship to hide from a drunken, belligerent lead actor who has sworn to kill them for belittling his talents, premiered today at the Cannes Film Festival.

Directed by Stanley Tucci and produced by Elizabeth W. Alexander and Tucci, the film starred Tucci, Oliver Platt, Teagle F. Bougere, Elizabeth Bracco, Steve Buscemi, Billy Connolly, Allan Corduner, Hope Davis, Dana Ivey, Allison Janney, Richard Jenkins, Matt McGrath, Isabella Rossellini, Campbell Scott, Tony Shalhoub and Lili Taylor.

It also featured an uncredited appearance by Woody Allen.
