(Thursday, June 6, 1968, 2:45 p.m.-2:45 a.m. BST) — The Beatles continued work today at EMI Studio 2 in London on “Don’t Pass Me By,” the second song to be recorded (started the previous day, June 5, 1968) for The Beatles’ “White Album” and Ringo Starr’s first published composition.
Starr recorded double-tracked lead vocals and Paul McCartney added a fresh bass overdub.
The song was also edited to remove an extra bar in the second chorus which had been erroneously played on the instrumental track.
