(Monday, June 24, 1968) — Paul McCartney of The Beatles and his future wife, photographer Linda Eastman, were filmed sailing on the yacht of Warner Bros. executive John Calley today in Los Angeles, California.

McCartney was in town to promote Apple Corps, the band’s new company, at a sales conference attended by executives from Capitol Records.

Late in the afternoon, McCartney would depart Los Angeles for London via New York to re-join recording sessions for The Beatles (also known as “The White Album”), arriving home on June 25, 1968.
