Harrison completes ‘Sour Milk Sea’ for Lomax 50 years ago #OnThisDay #OTD (Jun 26 1968)

(Wednesday, June 26, 1968; during sessions for The Beatles, also known as “The White Album”) — George Harrison of The Beatles, acting as producer and playing acoustic guitar, completed two tracks for Jackie Lomax today at EMI Studio 3, including “Sour Milk Sea” (written by Harrison and demoed by The Beatles in late May 1968) and “The Eagle Laughs at You.”

Paul McCartney (bass) and Ringo Starr (drums) of The Beatles also performed on “Sour Milk Sea,” which was released Aug. 26 1968, as part of Apple’s “Our first four” set of singles.
