(Tuesday, July 9, 1968, 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. BST) — The Beatles worked on a third version of Paul McCartney’s “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da,” recording two takes tonight at EMI Studio 3 in London.

After an hour’s break, McCartney decided to go back to the group’s second version of the song and add overdubs, with additional work on July 11 and 15, 1968.
