(Tuesday, July 30, 1968, 7:30 p.m.-3:30 a.m. BST) — The Beatles continued work tonight on Paul McCartney’s “Hey Jude” at EMI Studio 2 in London, recording 17 more takes.

A film crew was present in the studio, capturing footage for a documentary named Experiment in Television: Music! which was being made by the National Music Council of Great Britain.

The footage shows the group working mostly on take nine, with McCartney on vocals and piano, John Lennon playing an acoustic guitar and singing, and Ringo Starr on drums.
