(Sunday, November 24, 1968) — Avant-garde artist Yoko Ono, the girlfriend of John Lennon of The Beatles, was discharged today from Queen Charlotte’s Maternity Hospital in London, three days after suffering a miscarriage.

During Ono’s hospital stay (since Nov. 4, 1968), the couple recorded four tracks (“No Bed for Beatle John,” “Baby’s Heartbeat,” “Two Minutes Silence” and “Radio Play”) that would fill the second side of their second of three experimental LPs, Unfinished Music No. 2: Life with the Lions , released in May 1969 (two bonus tracks from this period, “Song for John” and “Mulberry,” would be released in June 1997).
