(Wednesday, March 22, 1989) — Ex-Beatles George Harrison and Ringo Starr joined Tom Petty today on a sound stage at Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, west of London, to film a promotional video for Petty’s track “I Won’t Back Down.”

For the second day’s shoot, Mar. 23, 1989, director David Leland used a lookalike from the Beatlemania stage play for Starr, who had been told he wasn’t needed to show up.
