(Friday, May 25, 1979, 10:00 a.m. EDT) — The crew of a broken down space ship accidentally picks up a deadly alien life form in Alien, a science-fiction horror film that opened today at the B.S. Moss’ Criterion Theatre in the Theater District of Manhattan.

Directed by Ridley Scott, the film starred Tom Skerritt, Sigourney Weaver, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, John Hurt, Ian Holm and Yaphet Kotto.
