(Friday, May 30, 1969; during the Vietnam War) — John Lennon was interviewed today by Tom Campbell and Bill Holley of KYA-AM in San Francisco via telephone from room 1742 at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, where the Beatle and his wife, Yoko Ono, were holding their second week-long bed-in for peace.

Lennon also spoke to KPFA about the 20,000 protests who were marching peacefully past the barricaded “People’s Park” in Berkeley, California.
