(Tuesday, August 19, 1969, 2:00 p.m.-4:00 a.m. British Summer Time; during sessions for Abbey Road) — The Beatles finished recording their Abbey Road album, completing George Harrison’s “Here Comes The Sun,” with Harrison adding Moog synthesizer in several places, today from Room 43 into EMI Studio 2 in London.

It was the 14th and final track completed for the band’s next album, Abbey Road, although mixing and editing would continue through Aug. 25, 1969 (various sound effects were also recorded for “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer” during the Aug. 25, 1969, session, but they were never used).
