(Friday, September 12, 1969) — John Lennon of The Beatles and his wife, Yoko Ono, gave a series of interviews to print reporters today at the Apple Corps building at 3 Savile Row in London.

The reporters were from publications including Melody Maker, Disc And Music Echo, Rave and The Times newspaper, recordings of which still exist.

At one point today, Lennon accepted an invitation to appear at Toronto Rock and Roll Revival festival, which was taking place the following day.

Lennon, who had privately decided within the past few days to leave The Beatles, would hastily assemble a new band for a performance late Saturday evening at Varsity Stadium.
