(Friday, September 26, 1969, 8:00-8:30 p.m. EDT)The Brady Bunch, an American television situation comedy series about a “blended family” created by the union of two persons with children from previous marriages, debuted tonight on ABC.

Created by Sherwood Schwartz, the series starred Robert Reed, Florence Henderson, Ann B. Davis, Maureen McCormick, Eve Plumb, Susan Olsen, Barry Williams, Christopher Knight and Mike Lookinland.

While the series was never a critical success or hit series during its original run, it has since become a popular staple in syndication, especially among children and teen aged viewers.
