(Tuesday, November 11, 1969, 11:00 a.m. EST) — Don’t Drink the Water, an American comedy film based on Woody Allen’s 1966 Broadway play of the same name about a tourist family stranded behind the Iron Curtain, premiered today at Cinerama theater at Broadway at W. 47th Street in New York City.

Directed by Howard Morris, the film starred Jackie Gleason, Estelle Parsons, Ted Bessell and Joan Delaney.
