(Sunday, March 1, 1970, 8:00-9:00 p.m. EST) — Several artists, including Duke Ellington and Jim Henson’s Muppets, performed various songs by The Beatles on tonight’s episode of the CBS-TV variety series The Ed Sullivan Show live from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City.

The show also featured clips from the forthcoming Beatles motion picture Let It Be, featuring the rock group performing the title song and “Two of Us.”
