(Sunday, April 8, 1990, 9:00-11:00 p.m. EDT) — The American mystery horror drama television series Twin Peaks, which follows an investigation headed by FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper and local Sheriff Harry S. Truman into the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer in the fictional rural town of Twin Peaks, Washington, debuted tonight on ABC.

Created by Mark Frost and David Lynch, the series starred Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Ontkean, Mädchen Amick, Dana Ashbrook, Richard Beymer, Lara Flynn Boyle, Sherilyn Fenn, Warren Frost, Peggy Lipton, James Marshall, Everett McGill, Jack Nance, Ray Wise, Joan Chen, Piper Laurie, Kimmy Robertson, Eric Da Re, Harry Goaz, Michael Horse, Sheryl Lee, Russ Tamblyn and Kenneth Welsh.
