(Thursday, May 28, 1970; during sessions for All Things Must Pass) — George Harrison formally began recording his triple album All Things Must Pass, his first release as a solo artist following the break-up of the Beatles, today in London, tracking “Wah-Wah” and “My Sweet Lord.”

Take 3 of “Wah-Wah” and take 16 of “My Sweet Lord” were treated with overdubs during additional sessions for the album, which continued through October 1970 (lead guitar and backing vocals were added to “My Sweet Lord” in early August 1970 at EMI).
