(Friday, May 29, 1970; during sessions for All Things Must Pass) — George Harrison began recording “I’d Have You Anytime” and “The Art of Dying” for the triple-disc album All Things Must Pass, his first release as a solo artist following the break-up of the Beatles, today at EMI Studio 3 in London.

Take 7 of “I’d Have You Anytime” was treated with overdubs during additional sessions for the album, which continued through October 1970.

Take 9 of “The Art of Dying” would be discarded in favor of a remake of the song, which began on July 1, 1970.
